Earlier this year we secured a grant of £8,000 from Colchester Borough Council. Part of this funding was match-funding for two internships. The rest of the funding is coming from Essex University. We are pleased to say that we have appointed two interns from the university who will be starting their internships in June.
One of them will be looking at Monitoring and Evaluation, helping us to provide evidence of the impact we are making. The other will be looking at Marketing and helping us to develop a marketing strategy for the future. Each internship lasts 3 months.
We will introduce them both once they start.
Today is the first anniversary of the Go4 Market Cafe and we are immensely proud of all that has been achieved. It goes without saying that without the amazing support of so many people it would not have been possible. We are grateful not only to our staff and volunteers, but also to all our supporters, funders and the market traders who have all contributed to making the whole enterprise a success.
As we continue to build on the achievements of the past year we look forward to some exciting new developments (watch this space!) as we seek to help even more young people achieve their dreams and support them as they seek to progress with their education, training or employment. We hope that you will feel able to continue to support us in this vital endeavour and if you are new to Go4 please pop along and introduce yourselves! We would love to share with you about our work and plans for the future.
